1. Devonshire Elementary- Movement instruction class for children with various disabilities. We follow North Carolina standard course of study and curriculum connection for each class. Through movement education, we will be creating new methodology for teaching and reinforcing vowel and consonant sound combinations. Conveying the idea of sounds ‘moving’ into words that flow into sentences that express a whole thought. Extensive planning with speech pathologist, literacy facilitator, the students’ classroom teacher, and medical personnel will all be components of Allegro Foundation’s program.-Tuesdays 1:30pm.
2. Myers Park Traditional Elementary- Movement instruction class for children with hearing impairments. Held onsite at Queens University of Charlotte. Focus will be on interpersonal interactions skills, mathematical concepts, problem solving, learning and identifying the anatomy as well as Teaching literacy through Movement Education. We follow North Carolina standard course of study and curriculum connection for each class. Through movement education, we will be creating new methodology for teaching and reinforcing cognitive and muscle memory. Extensive planning with Allegro instructors, the students’ classroom teacher, and medical personnel will all be components of Allegro Foundation’s program. -Wednesdays 11:00pm
3. Beverly Woods Elementary- Teaching literacy through Movement Education. We follow North Carolina standard course of study and curriculum connection for each class Through movement education, we will be creating new methodology for teaching and reinforcing vowel and consonant sound combinations. Conveying the idea of sounds ‘moving’ into words that flow into sentences that express a whole thought. 4. Merry Oaks Elementary- Lifespan- Movement instruction class for children in wheelchairs and walkers with severe disabilities. We follow North Carolina standard course of study and curriculum connection for each class. Through movement education, we will be creating new methodology for teaching and reinforcing cognitive and muscle memory. Extensive planning with Allegro instructors, the students’ classroom teacher, and medical personnel will all be components of Allegro Foundation’s program. - Wednesdays 8:30am
5. Metro School- Movement instruction class for children in wheelchairs and walkers with severe disabilities. We follow North Carolina standard course of study and curriculum connection for each class. Through movement education, we will be creating new methodology for teaching and reinforcing cognitive and muscle memory.
