Allegro has had the opportunity to reach out to our local community with special programs and events that have made a large impact in our mission to reach children in need.

February 23, 2008- Passion for Fashion- Fashion Show/Fundraiser benefiting Allegro Foundation hosted by Mr. Felix Sabates and held onsite at Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte. Click here for more information.

December 7-12, 2007- Singing Christmas Tree- Allegro performed as part of the Singing Christmas Tree, the first time in the 25 year history of this Charlotte tradition that children with disabilities have performed.

September 28, 2007- Charlotte Shout- Culinary Arts Experience: Allegro performed on the Main Stage at Gateway Village Promenade as part of Charlotte's Premier Cultural Experience.

September 2007- Festival of Children: Allegro participated in Charlotte's 1st annual Festival of Children held at Southpark Mall.

June 20th, 2006- Founder's Hall, downtown Charlotte-- Allegro Foundation held a free public preview of the 1940's review at Founder's Hall before taking the performance to the national stage for the 4th of July.

September 28th, 2006- Hearst Tower, downtown Charlotte- Allegro Foundation offered a free performance to the general public to showcase the 1940's review that Allegro students performed in Washington, DC.

October 1st, 2006- Latin American Festival, Mint Museum, Charlotte, NC- Allegro Foundation partnered with the Latin American Festival and Blumenthal Performing Arts Center to perform on the Blumenthal Children's Stage.

Press coverage of White House events included WBTV, WSOC-TV, WCNC-TV, News 14 Carolina, National Public Radio, Fox 5 News (Washington, DC), Front page of the Charlotte Observer-Sunday, December 19, 2004, Charlotte Observer Living Section, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times.

WTVI- PBS interview on "Charlotte Hoy"- Spanish language community news and events program.

Everyday Heroes, NBC-6- Pat Farmer, Founder/Executive Director was featured as an "Everyday Hero."

"Caminando"- Television show interview with Pat Farmer.

"Charlotte Talks"- with Mike Collins, public radio WFAE.

September 9, 2004- Radio interview on the Spanish Radio station "La Maquina Musical," WRKE 1060 with Latin American Coalition executive director Angeles Ortega.
